NAPRECA IN SYNOPSIS

NAPRECA, the Natural Products Research Network for East and Central Africa, was conceived by East and Central African scientists who attended the 14th International Symposium on the Chemistry of Natural Products in 1984 in Poland. Its establishment was borne from the realization that Africa was rich in biodiversity, but poor in research and development in natural products. NAPRECA became a fully-fledged network and started operating in earnest in 1988 when in 1987 it became affiliated to UNESCO as one of UNESCO’s network programmes. A NAPRECA Coordinating Board had its first meeting in Addis Ababa on March 1988......

18th NAPRECA Symposium in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe 1-3 August, 2019

On behalf of the Natural Products Research Network For Eastern And Central Africa (NAPRECA), the Organizing Committee is honored to announce the 18th NAPRECA symposium with the theme “Harnessing Natural Resources for Developments in Agriculture, Biotechnology & Health” that will be held from the 1st to 3rd of August 2019 in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. This International event will bring together senior scientists, young researchers, and PhD students from all over the world to share their latest advances in natural products. The scientific program will include plenary sessions of eminent researchers in the field, short lectures and poster presentations.
